Subject: This movie isn't too bad.
This movie isn't too bad. Bad it isn't exciting. In 1942 it had a purpose: to convince the public that the prison system can rehabilitate its prisoners. But nowadays, to me, this movie isn't appealing.

Subject: If I didn't live 5 miles from San Quentin, I'd have turned it off
I originally picked this one just to see images of Marin County from 68 years ago, and after I saw Mt. Tam hasn't changed at all, I wanted to turn it off because I found the story line pretty boring... But I live right up the road from San Quentin, so felt it was my obligation to watch it to the end.

It is a nice story though, a nice rose colored glasses story.
